  • National Institutes of Health (NIH). A part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NIH is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research.  This site , but their Health Section offers extensive information about the human body, diseases/conditions, and medical procedures.
  • National Institutes on Aging (NIA). The NIA is one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of the NIH.  It leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life.   This site’s Health and Publications Sections offer information regarding various health categories, especially Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • National Women’s Health Information Center (NWHIC). The NWHIC is a service offered by the Office on Women's Health (OWH) in the US Department of Health and Human Services.  This website offers reliable and current information on women’s health.
  • Nutrition Help. Offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under the US Department of Health and Human Services, this site offers basic nutrition advice and has links to other nutrition websites.  Don’t forget to check out the recipes under the Fruits and Veggies Matter.
  • Healthy Recipes Want to try something new?  Here’s a great site for heart-healthy recipes.
